It's been nearly 10 years since we have travelled to Europe so looking forward to it. Heading for Spain and Portugal, then Malta and Sicily.
After a long (14 hr) haul from Sydney to Dubai, a brief stopover in Dubai, then a shorter 7 hr flight to Barcelona, we touched down in a sleep-deprived state, but no sympathy was expected.
The queue for Immigration was a bit ridiculous - 2.5 hours to shuffle forward a few steps at a time. OK, several planes landed at the similar time at the airport, but Barcelona is a major ‘western’ city, and many immigration booths were not open. Couldn’t imagine that international flight schedules are a surprise to airport management. Anyway, c’est la vie.
Queue for Immigration desk. Similar numbers behind us.
